Authenticity & certificates
Every original ships with a certificate, and the certificate is not the only evidence.
What the certificate records
The work, the maker, the year, the medium and dimensions, the signature location, and a certificate number unique to that piece. It is issued on dispatch and also appears in your account.
Why the maker is named
Every work on this site is attributed to a person with a profile and a body of work. Attribution is the strongest authenticity claim there is: the maker is findable, and the work sits in a documented practice.
What AARTY does not claim
The studio does not make provenance claims beyond what it can verify from its own records and from the maker. Where a work has an exhibition history, it is stated. Where it has none, nothing is implied.
